DUG fluffy pull apart bread
Ingredients
400 g bread flour or all purpose flour
250 g DUG Original
60 g vegan butter
40 g sugar
12 g salt
30 g fresh yeast or 9 g instant yeast
+ 20 g melted butter for brushing
Method
- Start by combining DUG original use as milk drink in a bowl along with the yeast, sugar and salt.
- Stirr till the yeast has dissolved completely then add the flour. With your dough hook attached to your kitchen machine, kneat the dough 5-6 minutes on medium to high speed, then add the butter and kneat for an additional 10 minutes until you get a glossy dough.
- Tranfer the dough onto a lightly flour-dusted surface and form it / tug it into a ball.
- Let it rise for 1 hour and 15 minutes at room temperature.
- After the dough has risen, give it a punch, tranfer it to a flour dusted surface, give it a light kneat and divide it into 4 equal sized balls, which you also tighten up.
- Grease a bread pan with vegan butter, and place some parchment paper in the bottom. Transfer the balls into the pan and let them rise for a second time for 45 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 200 C fan.
- After the second rise, brush the bread with some melted vegan butter and bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes.
- After baking, cover it with a damp towel and let it cool down for 10 minutes, before brushing some more butter top to get it even more glossy! Enjoy!
