DUG fluffy pull apart bread

Ingredients

400 g bread flour or all purpose flour
250 g DUG Original
60 g vegan butter
40 g sugar
12 g salt
30 g fresh yeast or 9 g instant yeast
+ 20 g melted butter for brushing

Method

  1. Start by combining DUG original use as milk drink in a bowl along with the yeast, sugar and salt.
  2. Stirr till the yeast has dissolved completely then add the flour. With your dough hook attached to your kitchen machine, kneat the dough 5-6 minutes on medium to high speed, then add the butter and kneat for an additional 10 minutes until you get a glossy dough.
  3. Tranfer the dough onto a lightly flour-dusted surface and form it / tug it into a ball.
  4. Let it rise for 1 hour and 15 minutes at room temperature.
  5. After the dough has risen, give it a punch, tranfer it to a flour dusted surface, give it a light kneat and divide it into 4 equal sized balls, which you also tighten up.
  6. Grease a bread pan with vegan butter, and place some parchment paper in the bottom. Transfer the balls into the pan and let them rise for a second time for 45 minutes.
  7. Preheat the oven to 200 C fan.
  8. After the second rise, brush the bread with some melted vegan butter and bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes.
  9. After baking, cover it with a damp towel and let it cool down for 10 minutes, before brushing some more butter top to get it even more glossy! Enjoy!
